“PROPOSAL TO CHANGE DEGREE TITLE FROM M.S. IN ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TO M.S. IN ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENERGY POLICY”

 

 

Current title: M.S. in Environmental Policy

 

Proposed title change: M.S. in Environmental and Energy Policy

 

1.      General description and characteristics: The proposal is to add the word “Energy” to the primary title of the degree program.

2.      Rationale: Energy is an integral part of the degree program and core courses but has not been represented in the title.

3.      Related programs: The new title will be the same as a Ph.D. degree offered by the Department of Social Sciences.

4.      Curriculum design: No change.

5.      New course descriptions: Not relevant.

6.      Additional resources: Requires no additional resources.

7.      Accreditation requirements: No additional accreditation requirements.

8.      Planned implementation date: The proposed change will be implemented in the 2013-2014 academic year.
