The Senate recommends that the plan to eliminate the men's and women's varsity tennis programs not be implemented.

"General fund monies supporting the varsity tennis teams has been withdrawn. However, President Tompkins has agreed to fully fund the varsity tennis teams with one-time money for FY 2002-03 and partially fund the teams for FY 2003-04. The Athletic Department will be expected to raise external funding to support the tennis programs during FY 2003-04 and thereafter."
