22.4.2. Advertising - Nonelectronic Media


Definition

Advertising: The purchase of an advertisement.


Policy

Human Resources must approve the advertising of vacancies for non-faculty positions. Advertising for faculty positions must be approved by the affirmative action office.

All advertising copy must be typed double space on a separate sheet and attached to the Purchase Requisition.

All printed advertising must include the equal opportunity statement. Display and classified display advertising may also include the logo.


Procedure

To purchase an advertisement, do the following:

  1. Prepare a Purchase Requisition and include a valid University index number and appropriate approval(s). Refer to section 22.2.4. Purchase Requisitions for procedures to complete a purchase requisition.


  2. On a separate sheet type the advertising copy, double spaced.


  3. NOTE: Printed advertising must include the equal opportunity statement. Display and classified display advertising may also include the logo.

  4. Attach to the purchase requisition.
