The Senate endorses the Provost's TIAA-CREF Retiree Health Care Benefits program as presented to the Senate on February 5, 1997, with the following amendments.
1. Effective July 1, 1997, all eligible employees under the TIAA-CREF program can make an additional contribution of up to 2% which will be matched by the University.
2. Employees at retirement will pay a premium co-pay for their health benefits based on a sliding scale related to the year in which they retire. This scale will be based on the additional TIAA-CREF accumulation required to pay toward this benefit.
