            GUIDELINES TO PETITION FOR  SENATE CONSTITUENCY



The following guidelines are for employees who are not eligible for Senate constituency as defined in
Senate Bylaw C.1., and who want to petition to become a constituent.


Michigan Technological University employees with a minimum of nine months, 3/4 time, or
employees who demonstrate a long-term commitment to the University through more than five years
continuous employment or a cumulative 10 discontinuous years employment.


The following individuals are not eligible to petition for Senate constituency.

1.   Members of a union.

2.   Full-time students.
