PROPOSAL 3-86
GRADE CHANGE POLICY
Believing that any policy concerning grade changes should retain the basic principle that determination of a final grade is the responsibility and prerogative of the instructor, the Senate recommends adoption of the following grade change policy:
The final grade for a course can only be changed under any one of the following circumstances:
- the student repeats the course
- the original grade is an I, P, or X
- the instructor provides written justification for the change and the instructor's department head approves the grade change.
