PROPOSAL 1-89

TUITION FOR SPOUSES OF FULLTIME FACULTY/STAFF MEMBERS

 

Regular, full-time exempt employees and their spouses are eligible to participate in the Employee Education Assistance Program. Eligible employees and their spouses are authorized to enroll in regular graduate and undergraduate MIchigan Technological University courses with the University paying the tuition. Employees need approval from their department head or supervisor for scheduling purposes, and from the Registrar for information purposes.

Each eligible participant may take a maximum of two courses per term subject to a maximum of two courses per regular, full-time exempt employee per term.

All other costs above tuition are the responsibility of the individual employee who participates or whose spouse participates in the program. In addition, employees are responsible for payment of tuition for any courses failed, dropped, or during the term of which that employee ceases active employment with MTU.
