"The Use
of Metrics at Michigan Technological University"
The
use of metrics as a measure of progress toward strategic goals is being
increasingly used at Michigan Technological University.
In
the spirit of good communication, the senate requests that all metrics used by
the university are linked to a “dictionary”.
The dictionary will clearly define the metric, show how it is
calculated, explain how the data is collected, and any other definitions needed
to understand the meaning of the metric.
The
existence of a dictionary will greatly enhance communication throughout the
university community.
