1. Call to order and roll call. President Bill Bulleit called the University Senate Meeting 533 to order
at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. The Senate Secretary Brian Barkdoll
called roll. Absent were representatives of the Army/Air Force ROTC, Chemistry,
Materials Science and Engineering, ME-EM, Visual and Performing Arts, Academic
Services A and B, Administration, Auxiliaries, Finance, Student Affairs, and
the Graduate Student Government.
Recognition of visitors.
Guests included
Max Seel (Provost’s
Office), Bonnie Gorman (Dean of Students Office), and Mike Meyer (Center for
Teaching and Learning).
2. Approval of
agenda. President Bulleit asked
if there were any changes; the agenda PASSED
on a voice vote.
3. Setting of
Meeting Dates.
Proposed meeting dates were APPROVED.
4. Election of
Senate Officers.
The following officers were
elected for the 2013-14 academic year:
Brian Barkdoll (Civil and
Environmental Engineering) for President
Shane Sullivan (Information
Technology) for Vice President
Martin Thompson (Chemistry) for
Secretary
5. Adjournment.
President Bulleit adjourned the meeting at 5:47pm.
