University Web Policy Management and Administration

The Web Policy Subcommittee and Web Oversite Committee manage and guide the University’s web presence by establishing policy and ensuring compliance, monitoring web development strategies, and providing web design resources.

Web Oversite Committee

The purpose of the Web Oversite Committee is to:

  • Keep current of web technologies and issues that affect web development.
  • Provide resources to University web developers in the form of design guidelines and development resources.
  • Provide design review assistance in conjunction with University Marketing and Communications.

Membership—The chair of the committee will be the director, New Media. Members are appointed by the director, New Media with representation across campus.

Web Policy Subcommittee

The purpose of the Web Policy Subcommittee is to:

  • Maintain the University Web Policy.
  • Serve as arbitration panel to resolve unsettled web issues between web developer and University Web Policy.

Membership—Members are appointed by the Director, New Media from the membership list of the Web Oversite Committee. The committee will consist of 5-7 members representing the broadest possible cross-section of the Web Oversite Committee. For example, there should be academic, nonacademic, and student representation as well as a member from Auxiliary Enterprises and University Marketing and Communications. The committee will choose a chair from among its members.
