1. Office of Student Records and Registration Gets A New Name and a New Look
The Registrar's Office, formerly the Office of Student Records and Registration, has announced the launching of its new web page. Please take a few moments to check it out at www.mtu.edu/registrar . We are very excited about the new look of our web page. For those who have bookmarked pages from the old site, your bookmarks will be redirected to the new site. Please help us debug our new website--it is a beta version. You can select the bug icon in the right hand corner to notify us of any errors or problems.

2. Reminder: Time to Recognize Leadership and Service
The deadline to nominate students for awards that recognize commitment, enthusiasm, service and leadership is 5 p.m., Friday, March 6.

Student organizations and their advisors will also be singled out.

In particular, Student Affairs requests nominations for the President's Award for Leadership and the Vice President for Student Affairs Service Award, as well as other awards.

To simplify the nomination process, there is a new website with links to each of the awards. You can view the award information and requirements--and complete an online nomination--at www.sa.mtu.edu/awards .

The name of the person making the nomination will be placed in a drawing for four $100 gift certificates at the Campus Bookstore.

The recipients will be honored at the spring awards ceremony on Sunday, April 26.

For more information, contact Lynda Heinonen at 487-1832 or
lheinone@mtu.edu .
