1. Huskies Ranked No. 24 by D2Football.com
by Wes Frahm, director of athletic communications and marketing

Michigan Tech is ranked No. 24 in this week's D2Football.com poll, which was released today. The ranking is the Huskies' first since early last season, when they were ranked No. 25 by D2Football.com.

Tech is 2-0 overall in 2008 with wins over Winona State and Hillsdale—teams that combined for a 18-5 record a year ago. The Huskies defeated Winona, 26-21, on Aug. 30 before edging Hillsdale, 39-36, on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Michigan Tech will host Ashland on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. The Eagles were nationally ranked in each of the first two polls before losing their first two contests by a combined eight points.
