Portage Lake Golf Course Delivers a Memorable UPLGA Tournament

Portage Lake Golf Course hosted the Upper Peninsula Ladies Golf Association (UPLGA) Championship on July 19-22. The event was a resounding success, with the champion being PLGC's very own Zoe Woodworth.

The UPLGA tournament is a four‑day event dating back to 1920, with PLGC last hosting the event in 2009. This championship event opens with an 18-hole qualifying round, followed by three days of match play.

Off the course, the club treated participants to breakfasts and, in line with the event's "Little Italy in the UP" theme, Italian-style dinners.
