Student Affairs Webcast: Understanding Value beyond Cost
The Student Affairs Professional Development Committee presents a webcast, "Helping Prospective Students Understand Value beyond Cost," from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Memorial Union Building, Ballroom A-1 on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
As the economy continues to limp along and media reports about student loan default persist, you must help prospective students understand that a college degree from Michigan Tech is worth the investment. This important conversation needs to move beyond accurately sharing tuition pricing information to demonstrating how your campus can deliver the outcomes students need--strong professional skills, employability, and earning potential.
Join us to learn how you and your team can move your campus’s value discussion beyond affordability by presenting data and telling success stories that accurately communicate institutional outcomes.
Who should attend? Campus marketing and communications professionals; advancement, admissions and enrollment management professionals who manage marketing professionals or help to develop communication outcomes; and campus leaders who support marketing professionals will benefit from this content. All front-line admissions personnel who have conversations with students and their families about cost or value will benefit from the ideas shared in this webcast.
Speakers are W. Kent Barnds, vice president for enrollment, communications and planning at Augustana College, and Robert J. Massa, vice president for communications at Lafayette College.
If you plan to attend, RSVP to Beth Pollins at firstname.lastname@example.org .
