Campus Survey to Assess Commuting, Calculate Carbon Footprint
The Green Campus Enterprise is conducting a survey to better understand how students, faculty and staff commute to Michigan Tech. "The information gained from the respondents will allow us to better calculate Michigan Tech's carbon footprint," said Sarah McCauley, copresident of the enterprise.
Specifically, the enterprise will use the survey data to prepare a greenhouse gas inventory for the University's 2011 fiscal year. The first inventory was conducted in fiscal year 2008 by the Green Campus Enterprise and the Carbon Neutral Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP).
This measure will "better integrate Michigan Tech's goals of sustainability with our education and research efforts now and into the future," said President Glenn Mroz. "I urge all members of the Michigan Tech community to take a few minutes to complete the survey."

The Michigan Tech Institutional Review Board has reviewed the request to conduct this survey.
