Cuisine, Performances Highlight International Night

MARCH 17, 2004 -- Exotic regional cuisine, musical performances and martial arts demonstrations will highlight this year's International Night at Michigan Tech. The event, sponsored by the university's International Club, will take place Friday, March 26.
The Memorial Union will cater the event with exotic regional cuisine from countries around the world including China, India, France, Nigeria and North America. Performances include traditional and modern dances, singing, Wushu-Chinese martial arts, musical performances, skits and a fashion show by international students.
Dinner begins at 6 pm in the Memorial Union Commons, with the cultural performances at 7:30 pm in the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets can be purchased separately for each event.
Tickets for the dinner and performance are $15 for MTU students, $17 for the general public and $12 for children 10 years and younger. Performance-only tickets are $5 for Tech students, $6 for the public and $3 for children.
Dinner tickets are $12 for Tech students, $13 for the public and $9 for children. Children ages two and under are free for the dinner and performance.
A group discount of $1 each is available with purchases of three or more tickets.
Tickets are available at the Rozsa Center box office, the Central Ticket Office or the Tech Express desk in the Memorial Union. You can also reserve tickets by calling the Rozsa Ticket Office at 487-3200 or purchase online at tickets.mtu.edu. Tickets are available through March 25.
