NOVEMBER 6, 2003 -- A nationally recognized hockey historian will speak on the history of professional hockey in the Copper Country during a presentation at Michigan Tech.

The presentation, by Bill Sproule, will take place Tuesday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m., in room 641 of the Dow building on campus.

While Sproule is an associate professor of civil engineering at Michigan Tech, he also teaches a course on hockey history and has become an expert in that area. He will discuss the Copper Country's role as the birthplace of professional hockey almost 100 years ago.

The public is invited to the talk and light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Mike Drewyor at 482-1983 or mdrewyor@hitchinc.com.
