More than 140 MTU students teamed up
to compete with students from eleven other universities in
the FutureCar Challenge.
The Challenge, which was a joint
venture of Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors, involves
modifying a vehicle to obtain a fuel efficiency of eighty
miles per gallon while maintaining the performance, price,
and utility standards set by the federal government and the
Big Three automakers.
The MTU team finished fourth out
of twelve in this year's competition.
