HOUGHTON--"Creating the
Future: Exploration and Entrepreneurship @ Michigan Tech" is the
theme of this year's Undergraduate Exposition, set for Wednesday, April
24, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. in the Memorial Union Ballroom at Michigan
Technological University.
The expo focuses on innovative
student research and includes displays on MTU's Enterprises, which bring
together students from a variety of disciplines to solve industry problems.
Also featured will be senior design projects and undergraduate research.
Students from all engineering and science disciplines are competing for
cash prizes. An informal awards ceremony follows the expo.
The expo showcases Michigan
Tech's 2002 FutureTruck team, a successful partnership between student
inventors and Kimberly-Clark, the Mini-Baja team and more.
Everyone is welcome to drop
by the Memorial Union and see first-hand the creativity of America's future
scientists and engineers.
