Faculty from the Fine Arts and Humanities departments will present an
old-fashioned coffee house in the Fine Arts Studio Theatre, Room 210 Walker,
on Friday and Saturday, September 20-21, at 8:00 p.m. The evening features
art work by Mary Ann Beckwith and Sue Stephens, original music by Mike
Irish, and readings by Alton Thompson, Randy Freisinger, Milton Olsson,
M.C. Friedrich, Sue Stephens, Jack Jobst, and Richard Blanning. Readings
include original poetry and short fiction as well as selections from the
readers' favorite authors. The program begins at 8:00
p.m., but audience members are encouraged to come early to get a cup of
coffee, visit, and view the art work on display. Tickets for "Coffee House
Revisited" are $3, with proceeds supporting Fine Arts music, theatre
and art programs. Tickets are available at the door, or in advance from
Rozsa Center Ticketing Services, 487-3200.
