FIRST LEGO League MTU Scrimmage
Playing with LEGOs has never
been so much fun! Michigan Tech students, involved in our new Enterprise
Program, have been helping Upper Peninsula middle school kids build
robots out of LEGOs. Ten FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science
and Technology) LEGO League teams from the Western Upper Peninsula schools
competed in their first tournament at Hancock Middle School on November
15, 2001.
Last year, Michigan Tech Students
returned from the Great Lakes Regional competition with the trophy for
"Passing on the FIRST Torch," recognizing the team's efforts
in high school, middle school, and elementary school outreach.
