In a related ceremony, ROTC cadets will present Michigan Tech president Curt Tompkins with a flag flown over the Capitol building in Washington, DC. An honor guard will raise the flag in front of Tech's administration building and fire a seven-gun salute. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the south side of the Administration Building.

HOUGHTON MI -- As part of Michigan Tech's annual alumni reunion this Friday, F-16 jet fighters will perform a ceremonial fly-over of the Keweenaw. The jets are expected to roar down the Portage waterway around 10:50 a.m., Friday, August 4, weather permitting. The 148th fighter wing, based in Duluth, Minnesota, will perform the flyover as part of a ceremony recognizing Michigan Tech's ROTC program.
