Staff Council, Oct 16, 2008

Call to order:

Becky Chrisianson called the meeting to order.

Old Business:

Emeritus Committee - working on a draft proposal to present at the December
Council meeting.
Making a Difference - nomination period is open, encourage your department to
make nominations.


New Business:

MUB Plaques honoring staff were slated to be removed. They are still in place,
has there been a change? Cynthia says there were also pictures of award
winners through the years on the Staff Council web site. Last year she was
directed to remove all photos from the web, with no reason given. If the ban
on photos on the web were lifted, the web site could be a nice way of showing
the history, especially if there is no longer room in the MUB for plaques.
