Staff Council Minutes May 25, 2006 Presentation - Bill Blumhardt, Campus Facilities Planning Bill talked about the capital outlay projects (state contribution $7.5 million; MTU bonded $2.5 million + $500,000 for the Childcare Center) - projects include interruptible power generators, central utility plant energy conservation, general campus common area and classroom renewal in Fisher Hall, Chem-Sci and Dillman Hall, Life Safety projects in Fisher and Chem-Sci, major maintenance (roofs - Academic Office Building, Forestry, and Walker), and relamping projects across campus Current value of campus facilities is $400,000,000 Heating for the campus last year cost $2.8 million Roll Call Present - Rob Bishop, Heather Knewtson, Diane Garrow, Ramona Backman, Rob Greenhoe, Judy Chapman, Peggy Gorton, Bev Auel, Becky Christianson Guests - Amy Hughes, Patti Myllyoja, Mary Cruickshank Peed, Allyson Jabusch New Business Childcare update - Becky reported that the Michigan Tech Little Huskies Child Development Center should be opening in early 2007.
