Research Advisory Council (RAC)
The
Research Advisory Council is charged with the following:
- to
improve communication within the campus research community
regarding research practices and administrative issues;
- to
provide a feedback mechanism from the research community
to the research administrative offices;
- to
provide an avenue for the research community to present
concerns to the research administrative units; and
- to
provide an informal linkage between the Research Office
and the Graduate School that focuses on research-related
views and concerns.
The
Council will provide a communication vehicle and serve as a
forum between the MTU research community and the Vice President
for Research, Research & Sponsored Programs, Research Accounting,
and the Graduate School, focusing on operational research practices
and administrative issues.
Meetings are held approximately monthly, they will be informal,
and the Senate Research Policy Committee and the Graduate
Faculty Council will be informed of the meeting times, and
offered an opportunity to send one or more representatives
to attend if they wish.
