"What does NCBI do?"
NCBI
trains faculty, staff, students, and members of the local community to
see themselves as leaders who can take initiative to stop the mistreatment
of every group. NCBI is committed to ending discrimination whether it is
based on race, nationality, religion, gender, socio-economic class, sexual
orientation, age, physical ability, occupation, or life circumstances.
As an international organization, NCBI has a particular commitment to making
the work of ending racism central in all of our programs and initiatives.
NCBI-trained leaders offer a new kind of leadership: citizens who are willing
to take principled, courageous stands and work in coalition with others
to develop activist projects in their communities. NCBI has developed a
proven methodology that works by training a team of leaders in a city,
school or organization who provide a powerful resource for their community.
They replicate prejudice reduction workshops everywhere and intervene in
the face of the most intractable intergroup conflicts. NCBI's upbeat approach
fosters hope, builds community, and demonstrates the NCBI motto: "All for
One and One for All." |
