Return from Union Business or Political Leave.
An employee who is returning from Union Business or Political leave shall notify the University in writing of her/his intent to return at least twenty (20) days in advance of the date of her/his intended return. The employee will be placed, as outlined in paragraph 136, in the first vacant position for which the employee is qualified and which most closely approximates the pay grade of the employee prior to the leave of absence and provided the employee would otherwise have maintained seniority recall rights.
