Section 17 LONGEVITY

1. All bargaining unit employees who have non-exempt status and are in the active service of, or on approved leave of absence from, the University shall be eligible to receive longevity pay from Michigan Technological University according to the following rules and schedule of payment:
   1. Longevity pay shall be based on an employee's length of continuous full-time and part-time (prorated) status with the University.

   2. Each eligible employee shall receive the differential longevity amounts added to their wage rate according to the schedule below.

      CONTINUOUS NON-EXEMPT STATUS	HOURLY RATE
      7 or more and less than 11 years	7¢
      11 or more and less than 15 years	11¢
      15 or more and less than 19 years	14¢
      19 or more and less than 23 years	17¢
      23 or more and less than 26 years	21¢
      26 years and less than 29 years	31¢
      29 or more years	41¢
