Section 17
LONGEVITY

  1. All bargaining unit employees who have non-exempt status and are in the active service of, or on approved leave of absence from, the University shall be eligible to receive longevity pay from Michigan Technological University according to the following rules and schedule of payment:

    1. Longevity pay shall be based on an employee's length of continuous full-time and part-time (prorated) status with the University.

    2. Each eligible employee shall receive the differential longevity amounts added to their wage rate according to the schedule below.

    3. Longevity Pay Schedule:

      Upon Completion of the 5th year
      $.24
      Upon Completion of the 10th year
      $.13
      Upon Completion of the 15th year
      $.13
      Upon Completion of the 20th year
      $.13
      Upon Completion of the 25th year
      $.13
      Upon Completion of the 30th year
      $.13
      Upon Completion of the 35th year
      $.13
