Upon request to the Human Resources Department, unsuccessful applicants will be told, in general terms, why they weren't selected and will be assisted on how they might improve their opportunity for advancement.
When an employee is the successful bidder to a classification in a higher pay grade, the employee shall
receive an increase of one dollar ($1.00) per hour per grade, or the minimum of the new pay grade,
whichever amount is greater. When an employee is the successful bidder to a classification in their
current pay grade, the employee's pay rate will not be reduced. In a lateral transfer, upon management’s
discretion, the department may give the successful bidder a raise, not to exceed seventy cents (70¢) per hour.
