79. Alternative Work Scheduling Arrangement (Flextime).
Alternative work scheduling arrangements (flextime) are variations from a customary schedule which are mutually agreeable to the employee and her/his supervisor. The University will consider alternatives to the customary schedule where productivity is either unaffected or is enhanced, necessary coverage is provided, and no precedent is set for other areas. A joint University/Union waiver of conflicting contractual provisions shall be necessary prior to implementation of such arrangements (except for reference to Section 81). Management is free to return to the customary work schedule when it deems that to be more appropriate.
