Representation and Notice of Discipline.
Should the employee desire a union representative
to be present at the time of discipline, suspension, or discharge, she/he shall have that right. The University will provide the employee a form to check off and sign whether or not they choose to have a Union Representative present. The University shall give written notice of any written discipline, suspension, or discharge action, stating the specific reasons for such action, to the employee and to the Steward, with a copy to the President of the Union, by certified or registered mail or by hand delivery within five (5) working days.
