Staff Handbook
Work Week
The basic work week of Michigan Tech is 40 hours for all personnel with
the following exceptions:
- Part-time employees who by definition are employed to work less than
40 hours per week
- Personnel who are assigned and scheduled work by their department
head or supervisor that requires a greater than 40 hour work week
- Personnel who need additional time in excess of 40 hours per week
to complete a given project (Board
of Control Policy 3.18)
