General Motors Designing Engineer Certificate Program

The goal of the General Motors Designing Engineer Certificate (GM-DEC) Program is to significantly enhance the skill base of a designer and engineer population with diverse educational and experiential backgrounds and provide them with a uniform knowledge base. Addressing students' varied qualifications is a critical component of the DEC program.

The GM-DEC program addresses the diverse credentials of the designers as a group through modularized fundamentals courses. Developed specifically for this program are four courses, which provide fundamentals in mathematics and engineering that will prepare the student with an appropriate foundation for the core area.

The core courses of the GM-DEC program are directly transferrable into Michgan Tech's Bachelor of Science in Engineering program.
