This year's Whitecaps BBQ turned out to be another success. On Saturday, August, 2, 3003, a beautiful summer evening, the Whitecaps held off a come-back by the Lansing Lugnuts and won a thrilling game by the score of 4-3. Sixty (60) alumni, family, and friends enjoyed an all-you-can-eat BBQ, a free raffle for MTU stuff, a free Michigan Tech pin, a free full-size soccer ball door prize for the kids, and a fireworks display after the game! Most importantly, everyone enjoyed socializing with other MTU alumni.
