Annual Fishing Charter Raffle
One of the other ways we are raising money for the scholarship fund is through a raffle our chapter holds annually to offer the chance at a winning a fishing charter trip on Lake Michigan for up to 4 people.  Proceeds from the raffle support the MTU West Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund.  The fishing charter trip is donated annually by Chris Andersen (MTU '82), of Andersen Charter Service in Arcadia, Michigan.  This will be the seventh year we have held the raffle.  The lucky winner is announced at the annual Spring Dinner, held at the Kent Country Club. (Click on the Past Events button at the left for more info on some of our recent Spring Dinners).

Raffle tickets are still just $10 each, or 3 tickets for $20. If you would like to purchase raffle tickets, just send a check made out to "MTU - West Michigan Chapter", indicate how many tickets you'd like, and send it to James Edelyn, c/o Horizon Environmental, 4771 50th Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.  We'll send you back your winning (hopefully) tickets stubs, and enter you into the drawing at the annual Spring Dinner!

Our 2006 Fishing Charter winner was Tom Poltrock, and our 2007 Fishing Charter winner is Jim Carpenter with lucky winning ticket number of 070032.  Congratulations, Tom and Jim!
