Mont Ripley Ski Area is owned and operated by Michigan Technological University for the use of students and is open to the public for skiing and snowboarding. Daily or season passes may be purchased at Mont Ripley. Michigan Tech student tickets are paid for by their Experience Tech Fee and they need only to show their student ID to receive a ticket. Features include the chalet with snack bar, locker room, ski and snowboard school, and ski and snowboard rentals. 24 trails on 101 acres are serviced by three lifts, with a 440-foot vertical drop and trails from beginner to expert.
