9.7.7 Scheduling of Rooms

Faculty, staff, and student organizations requesting to reserve a classroom for evenings or weekends are asked to contact the Registrar's Office (487-2208). Please follow the guidelines listed below to ensure room reservation.

A minimum of a day and three-quarters notice is needed when requesting a room. This means that requests must be made before 9:00 am prior to the day being requested. Requests for Saturday, Sunday, or Monday must be made by 9:00 am Friday. This allows the Heating Plant ample time to route heat to areas not normally heated evenings and weekends.

Due to these heating considerations, Fisher Hall is the primary facility used after 6:00 pm. Specific classrooms in Dillman Hall are the secondary choice. The lecture halls in the EERC, the ME-EM, the M & M, and the large classrooms on the first floor of the Chemistry building are available for exam use. Special events may be scheduled in these larger rooms if the situation warrants; however, exams will be given priority. Only rooms 108 and 109 of Walker are available to be scheduled for evening and weekend use.

Reservations for rooms on an all-quarter basis will not be taken until classes for the quarter are set. Because of this, classrooms cannot be reserved for the entire academic year and must be reserved on a quarterly basis.
