The Director of Affirmative Programs serves as the Affirmative Action Officer (AAO) for the students, faculty and staff of the university. As the AAO, the director is responsible for advising MTU personnel at all levels on issues of compliance with federal and state laws and regulations regarding illegal discrimination. This director manages in-house resolutions to claims of discrimination. The director also serves as the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator for the University.
