UM Faculty Development Troupe to Lead Interactive Diversity Dialogues: 

Effecting Positive Change in your Departments and the Classroom

On Thursday and Friday, September 15 and 16, Michigan Tech will host the University of Michigan, Center for Research, Tea= ching and Learning (CRTL) Players.  = The players recently returned from a tour at the National Science Foundation (N= SF) where they received rave reviews.  Regionally, they have worked with Michiga= n State University, Central Michigan University, and the University of Wisco= nsin-Madison College of Engineering.  They annually perform for U of M&#= 8217;s faculty orientation and academic departments.

 

They will deliver three interactive plays at Michigan Tech:

 

  • Gender and Race in the Classroom

September 15 (Th) from 3:30 – 5= :30 pm

 

  • The Faculty Meeting

September 16 (Fr) from 8:00 – 10:= 00 am

 

  • Faculty Mentoring

September 16 (Fr) from 3:00 – 5:00 pm

 

As part of Michigan Tech’s ongoing diversity programming, academic departments are encouraged to promote these professional development sessio= ns to all faculty.  Students will= also be invited to attend the Gender and Race in the Classroom interactive theat= er. 

 

In preparation for a new academic year, plan to participate.  Contact Chris S.
