All:

Just a reminder to all of you - if you are going to be absent from
campus, there should be someone else in the department/school/college
given signature authority while the unit administrator is absent.  It
would be very helpful if you could copy Anita Quinn with the names of
who will be acting in your place when you are gone.  We have had a
couple of instances recently where there was apparently no one
designated to give departmental or college approval for grant
applications in the absence of the unit administrator.  It will greatly
help to reduce frustration among your faculty if:  a) someone is
designated in your absence;  and b) Anita knows who it is so she can
work with the faculty to facilitate the approval and submission process.
