The Chief Information Officer (CIO) search committee has chosen three finalists for the position. Campus forums are scheduled for April 10-11 at 3:00 PM in Fisher 139 to allow each candidate to present their views on the position and to provide the campus community with an opportunity to meet the candidates and ask questions. The forums will be structured to allow each candidate to present opening remarks followed by a question and answer session.

The candidates and the dates of their forums are:

Monday, April 10: John Velat - Technical Editor, Tribal Technical Assistance Program

Tuesday, April 11: Walter Milligan - Professor, Materials Science Engineering

Wednesday, April 12: Scott Ackerman - Director, Central Engineering Computing

Forum attendees can provide feedback to the committee by sending email to cio-comments@mtu.edu. The committee will compile all comments and provide them to the provost as part of its final recommendations.
