All:

Last Thursday and Friday, the faculty union and the University participated in hearings before an Administrative Law Judge regarding the union's Unfair Labor Practice charge filed against the University and the associated decertification election blocking charge.  The hearing did not conclude within the two days and an additional day will need to be scheduled to complete the hearing.  The parties are now trying to identify possible dates within the next couple of months to conclude the hearing.  At the conclusion of the hearings, both sides will have a period of time to file summary briefs and the Judge will issue an opinion sometime after that.  We are not expecting a result until at least early fall and maybe later, depending on when the remainder of the hearing can be scheduled.
