All:

In a conference call Wed morning between the University and AAUP

attorneys, the petitioning parties, and the Administrative Law Judge, the

Judge decided to postpone the hearings on the unfair labor practice charge

from March 7-8 until sometime later, probably in late April.  There appear

to be two reasons:  1) the hearing will probably take more than two days;

and 2) one of the University's witnesses, our former chief negotiator, is

unable to appear due to health-related restrictions on travel.

It is unfortunate that this was postponed;  the University is prepared to

present its case against the ULP and desires to resolve the question

concerning representation as soon as possible.
