Chapter 7. Educational Opportunity

7.4. Women's Programs


Definition

Women's Programs: A variety of programs supporting women students, faculty, staff, and alumni offered by Educational Opportunity and initiated or collaborated with other various groups.


Policy

Departments, organizations, or individuals proposing programs or activities for women's programs should consult with the director of Educational Opportunity or the coordinator of Women's Programs in order to avoid duplication of effort and help assure project success.


Procedure

If offering a program supporting women alumni, faculty, staff or students, do the following:

  1. Contact the Educational Opportunity department by telephone (7-3539), e-mail <ythcande@mtu.edu>, or memo, and indicate the proposed program name, date, time, and location.


  2. Discuss program coordination needs and expectations with the coordinator of Women's Programs or the director of Educational Opportunity.


  3. Inform the Educational Opportunity department of any changes in the program.
