4.6. Appeal Process

Definition

Informal Complaint Appeal: If the parties are not satisfied with the results of the informal complaint case, either party may appeal to the appropriate vice president for review.

Formal Complaint Appeal: If the parties are not satisfied with the results of the formal complaint case, either party may appeal and the case may be brought to the president for review.


Policy

If the complaint is not brought to a satisfactory conclusion using the process in the Affirmative Programs Office, an appeal step has been incorporated and can be initiated by any party in the complaint. The informal complaint process appeals are brought to the appropriate vice president. The formal complaint process appeals are brought to the president.
