Chapter 27. University Relations
Electronic Publications and Design: With a goal of creating Web pages at Michigan Tech that promote a coherent image with accurate, up-to-date content, University Relations oversees and produces Michigan Tech's Home Page and related links, the electronic version of Tech Topics, WebCal, All-Depts e-mail list. In addition, University Relations can reproduce printed publications for the Web as well as provide Web page design services.
The Michigan Tech Home Page is the gateway to the many WWW sites at Michigan Technological University. Responsibility for this page is shared by the departments of Information Technology and University Relations.
Marketing Communications, a unit of University Relations, provides counsel to departments regarding the content and organization of their Web pages in addition to reproducing printed publications for the Web. The director of Marketing Communications also serves as University Webmaster.
Design and Publications Services provides counsel regarding the use of Michigan Tech logos and other images on the Web in addition to designing Web pages.
