Chapter 23. Recreational Facilities
Mont Ripley Ski Hill: A recreational facility the University owns and maintains that consists of 8 alpine (downhill) skiing runs and 2 lifts.
The runs and lifts at the Ski Hill are generally available as weather conditions permit, usually between the months of December and March with operating hours of:
Weekdays | 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. |
Saturday | 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. |
Sunday | 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. |
Closed - December 25 (Christmas Day) |
Highlights of the facility are:
Lift tickets for the day and season are available at the service desk in the chalet and are non-transferable. Season lift tickets are a laminated pass bearing the individual's photograph and name. University employees may pay for lift tickets by payroll deduction, cash, credit card, or check. Payment by the general public is to be by cash, credit card, or check.
In addition to physical education classes, use of the hill by special groups such as high school classes and teams, community youth groups, and similar specials may be arranged by contacting the mountain manager.
Mont Ripley Ski Hill leases a Pro Shop for equipment sales, rentals, and repairs. Ski and snow board equipment items for repair will be accepted during normal Rental/Repair Shop hours.
Users of the Mont Ripley Ski Hill and chalet must maintain order and abide with the rules and regulations of the University and the ski hill. Consumption of food and/or beverages is permitted only in designated areas.
