23.2.2. Court Reservations

Both students and nonstudents each have a prime time and a non-prime time court session rental rate.

Generally, scheduling of Gates Tennis Center courts is on a first-come first-served basis. However, priority may be given to physical education classes, varsity tennis matches, and league play. The right to terminate or modify the use privilege of any individual, group, or organization is reserved.

Persons who are unable to make their reserved court session are required to contact Gates Tennis Center four hours before their reservation so that the court may be made available to others. "No Shows" and "Late Cancellations" (failure to contact the Gates Tennis Center four hours before reservation time) will be billed the appropriate court charge. Further play is contingent upon record of this payment.

To reserve a tennis court, do the following:

1. Make a court reservation in person at the Gates Tennis Center, or by calling 7-2774, starting at 8 a.m. each day.


NOTE: An alternate time may be necessary based upon the availability of courts. A waiting list is available if all desired court sessions are filled.


2. Immediately prior to the reservation time, sign in on the Reservation Log at the reservation desk.



3. Present the membership pass card at the reservation desk.



4. If not a Gates Tennis Center membership pass card holder, pay the required amount for court time at the reservation desk.
