There is no charge for parking in Gates Tennis Center lots except during some athletic or other events.

Gates Tennis Center operates a Pro Shop for equipment sales, racket rentals, and racket stringing and minor repairs.

Policy

Players will not be permitted to wear street clothes. Attire shall be official tennis apparel or gym shorts and top, warm-ups, or sweat suits. Only tennis shoes may be worn on the courts. In order to prevent damage to courts, shoes worn while on the courts shall be shoes other than those worn en route to the Center. No tape on soles of shoes is allowed.

Players must enter and leave courts punctually. When entering courts #2, #3, and #4, walk behind the green curtain on the west side to the opening by the appropriate court. Court hopping is not permitted.

In order to be consistent and fair to all players, play shall terminate immediately at the signal even though the court is not scheduled for use during the succeeding session. An additional session of play may be requested provided the court is not reserved. The fee charged for a subsequent session will be at the appropriate rate for that session.

All players wishing to play during a session that has already started may do so, but will be obligated to pay the full fee for that session and will be required to halt play at the end of the scheduled session assigned to that court.

Users of the Gates Tennis Center must maintain order and abide with the rules and regulations of the University and the Gates Tennis Center. Consumption of food and/or beverages is permitted only in designated areas. Absolutely no controlled substances and the use of tobacco products are allowed in the building.
