Rental agreements must be made in person and a deposit may be required. Rental fees must be paid-in-full within 24 hours following the scheduled rental time. Summer rentals are to be prepaid.
License agreements will be used for most formalized groups or organizations. These license agreements must be approved by the vice president for finance and administration.
Conference-type activities must be coordinated with the SDC manager's office.
Any cancellation by the renter must occur no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled rental time. The renter may be liable for costs incurred by the University as a result of the renter reserving a facility and subsequently cancelling the reservation. This liability is without regard to the time of cancellation.
Michigan Technological University sponsored and/or sanctioned individuals or groups utilizing a room in the SDC for an activity without an admission charge will generally not be charged a rental fee for the room. Any group or individual charging a fee for admission or attendance will be charged a rental fee in accordance with the established rental rates. The final decision shall be at the discretion of the SDC management. Certain areas are only available on a rental fee basis.
